If you are a regular commenter you WILL be flagged as a spammer for reasons I explain in the post I’ll put in CommentLuv in this comment. Akismet flagged so many of our regular readers and commenters as spammers that Phil @FeedBlitz got Andy @CommentLuv to create the GrowMap anti-spambot plugin that is now part of the CommentLuv Premium plugin you’re using.

I don’t understand why bloggers believe the hype that “Akismet is the best automated spam killer for wordpress” when that is clearly not true because it flags your best comments as spam! It can never work as designed and I believe they LIKE the way it works and will NOT improve it. They do not want prolific commenters to have influence so the more of them that are flagged as spammers the better they’ll like it.

You have to be able to see the big picture to really understand why first Akismet – and now WordPress in blogs that delete Akismet – throw real comments into spam.

Clear article. I have several friends struggling with people who have the same name. If they don’t place a picture next to it it can also change your reputation bad.
